During our most recent team meeting, we discussed five traits to help us continue to grow, both in our clinic and personally:
- Clarity (who you are and where you’re going)
- Energy (how you fuel your body, treat your body, and recharge)
- Influence (when is your mindset to lead and to support)
- Productivity (how your time management can use efficiency)
- Courage (how will you take risks and not avoid discomfort, being present in the moment)
As healthcare and wellness practitioners, we know the importance of leading by example and caring for ourselves first so that we may take better care of others.
When September arrives we transition into a new beginning and settle into our fall routines as back-to-school starts for many families. This time of year is an ideal time to set goals and allow for a fresh start. We are challenging ourselves to a 30-day wellness challenge and hope that many of our patients will join us too!
You will set a goal for yourself that you can achieve each day for 30 days; from removing an un-healthy habit to trying something new – this goal can be shared with others or kept to yourself. Here are some goals to inspire you below:
Dr. Peter Pain : Getting 8.5 hours of sleep a night, while also cutting down on the coffee intake
(he says Starbucks heard about this, they closed their Princess Street and Sydenham store, as stock just went down.)
Jordyn Black : To journal and to do movement (volleyball, rollerblading and workouts)
Dr. Laura Gifford : To do a whole 30 ( strict 30 day paleo)
Niamh Nicolas : Drink more water and cut out sugar
Judy Gerber Van Vilet : To do yoga and meditation every day
Dr. Jillian Murphy : To cut out sugar and meditate every day
Catharine Gibson : To read for at least one hour before bed each night
Katrina Brunet : To do Rem ex every day.
Brittany : to walk for 20-30 minutes every day, rain or shine.
Make the Commitment for 30-Days
Start now and give it a 100% effort for one month…. We are here to help support you and there is a great community to back you up!
